2025 and 2026 Budget Survey

Our 2025/26 budget is about making sure the Council uses local resources to provide the best possible services to residents, improve your quality of life, and deliver value for money.

The initial budget plans set out how we’re taking responsible budget decisions. These aim to protect the frontline services that you rely on whilst setting us up for a sustainable future.

You can:

The proposals have been shaped by the priorities of local people. Nearly 900 residents responded to our budget priorities survey in the autumn.

Your feedback showed that you want to protect frontline services. Support our ambition to be more efficient and modernise how we provide some services. And that you understand raising more income is one of the only ways to balance the budget.

We’re now inviting you to share your views on our budget proposals. The public survey is open until Friday 31 January.

It only takes 5 minutes to complete and will make a real difference by helping to shape your local public services.
