Safeguarding Adults Board strategy summary 2023 to 2026
Introduction
Our strategy shows how the Wakefield and District Safeguarding Adults Board will help and protect people at risk of abuse and neglect in our area, preventing harm wherever possible.
It is based on what the law says we must do, as well as on the local picture: what people are telling us about how adult safeguarding works in Wakefield.
Ambition
We will work together to prevent abuse and neglect. We will ensure that adults at risk of abuse and/or neglect are supported, listened to, engaged and empowered to live safely as they want to live.
Objectives
Our six objectives to achieve this ambition are:
- empowerment
- prevention
- proportionality
- protection
