Before you start your request
You can be given a £50 on-the-spot fine for not cleaning up after your dog. If the fine is not paid you can be prosecuted with a maximum penalty of £1,000.
Registered blind dog owners are exempt.
What you need to know
Dog poo carries serious health hazards such as toxocariasis which mainly affects children aged 1-4 years.
Responsible dog ownership can prevent the spread of this infection and minimise the risk to the public.

To report dog fouling, you will need to tell us:
- where the dog fouling is
- name and address of the offender (if you know it)
- description of dog
- description of the dog owner
