Commercial waste services

Wakefield Council offer a competitive commercial waste collection service for businesses in the district. We will work with you to provide the service that’s right for your business. We offer both general waste and recycling collections in varying bin size and collection frequency.

All our bins are mobile and easy to use. Sizes available are as follows:

• 240-litre wheeled bin (74cm x 58 x 107)
• 360-litre wheeled bin (99cm x 91 x 109)
• 660-litre eurobin (123cm x 73.1 x 133)
• 1100-litre eurobin (126cm x 98.5 x 137)
• 8 Cubic Yard Skip (403cm x 186cm x 178cm)
• 14 Cubic Yard Skip (430cm x 186cm x 207cm)

From 31 March 2025 the Government are introducing new waste reforms called simpler recycling.  These aim to improve recycling rates, simplify waste management, and crack down on waste crime. Part of the reforms require businesses to have separately collected general waste, recycling and food waste. We will keep you updated on the latest changes to government guidance and how we can help you be compliant.
