Selling to the council
We have a wide range of procurement options available when purchasing goods, works and services. This is in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 such as:
- collaborative contracts
- consortia arrangements

- tenders
All business opportunities above £25k will be administered through the YORtender website here. Their award details will be available in the Contract register. This is the sole portal for accessing quotations and tenders from us, and it is free of charge to register.

Working with Wakefield
Our new supplier early payment scheme
We are introducing our new supplier early payment scheme called 'Working with Wakefield.'
This scheme aims to support businesses by ensuring that invoices are paid within 10 days, rather than the standard 30-day terms.
The goal of 'Working with Wakefield' is to help local small and medium-sized businesses improve their cash flow by receiving payments earlier. It also aims to foster stronger long-term working relationships between suppliers and Wakefield.
Even larger organisations and suppliers working with us can benefit from the scheme. They can receive early payment in exchange for a discounted rate.
If you are one of our suppliers and would like more information about 'Working with Wakefield,' please provide your details by completing our form.
Standard Terms and Conditions for the Provision of Goods and/or Services
These standard terms and conditions generally apply to the Council's purchase of goods and/or services.
However, there may be instances where the Council specifies different terms and conditions. This will be either through a competitive procurement process or in writing. Additionally, if a purchase order is issued following a call-off from a Framework Agreement or Dynamic Purchasing System, different terms and conditions may apply.
