Notice of election of a district councillor for the Featherstone No 6 Ward
- An election is to be held of a District Councillor for the FEATHERSTONE NO 6 WARD.
- Forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the Returning Officer, Electoral Services Office, Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, who will, at the request of any elector for the said electoral area, prepare a nomination paper for signature.
- Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services Office, Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, on any normal working day from the date of this notice, but not later than 4pm on Friday, 15 November 2024 during office hours. The Electoral Services Office is open from 8:30am to 5pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (Fridays).
- Any request received by the Returning Officer is available for inspection upon request
- If an election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 12 December 2024.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services Office, Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, by 12am on Tuesday, 26 November 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
- New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services Office, Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW by 5pm on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, if they are to be effective for this election. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.
- Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services Office, Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, by 5pm on Wednesday, 04 December 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
- New applications to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical or work emergency must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, by 5pm on Wednesday, 04 December 2024 if they are to be effective for this election. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.
- Applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical or work emergency must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 45, County Hall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2QW, by 5pm on Thursday, 12 December 2024 if they are to be effective for this election.
