What’s the graduate programme like at Wakefield Council?
As a graduate at Wakefield Council, you’ll take on three different placements. These each lasting eight months, across various departments in the Council. This practical experience will give you a well-rounded understanding of local government.
Previous graduates have gained experience in areas such as:
- Strategic Housing
- Legal
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Organisational Development
- Children’s Services
You'll have full support throughout the programme, with a dedicated placement coordinator and a senior mentor guiding you every step of the way.
