Markets are a low cost, low risk way to start or develop your business. We offer a range of support to both new and existing businesses. Our Business Start-Up scheme is available for all businesses, offering support in your first few months of trading.

We offer a variety of shops, indoor units and outdoor stalls in 6 locations across the district:

• South Elmsall (outdoor)
• Wakefield (outdoor)

Whether it’s a small or larger space, whatever your requirements, we have a variety of options available for you to consider.

Each site operates slightly differently and have their own offers, which can be adapted to suit your needs. 

Castleford has a brand-new event space inside their indoor market, which hosts a series of events throughout the year and can also be booked for your own event or activity.

South Elmsall is due to be developed next year, so if you’re thinking about becoming a market trader, now is a great time to open there as stalls are available from only £5.65 per day!
