Requesting a local authority search (LLC1, CON29R and CON29O)
On 22 April 2024, our Local Land Charges Register migrated to HM Land Registry’s national register. You can access the new digital service through Portal, Business Gateway and on HM Land Registry’s GOV.UK pages. This includes Personal Searches of the Local Land Charges Register.
Wakefield Council will continue to provide replies to Con29 enquiries. It is important to remember to only submit the required fee when submitting a CON29 enquiry to us after 22 April 2024.
Requests can be submitted electronically by completing the downloadable form. Each request must be accompanied by a good quality plan with the boundaries of the search clearly marked.
In the case of new developments a site plan clearly identifying the plot number/property required must be provided.
We accept electronic requests via landcharges@wakefield.gov.uk where payment can be made over the telephone by credit/debit card. A member of the team will call you to take payment once the search request has been received.

Please note
If CON29R and CON29O forms are submitted together for the same area of search only one additional parcel fee of £5.30 (including VAT) will be charged for each parcel.
