Hip Hop Week at Castleford Market

This February half-term, Castleford Market will come alive with "United by Breaks". This is a celebration of Hip Hop culture delivered by the incredible team at HelloHipHop.

HelloHipHop encourages kids and teens through Hip Hop (dance, music, graffiti, and beatboxing).

HelloHipHop has worked with over 300 children from local primary schools.

Year 5 and 6 pupils at Castleford Park Juniors and Half Acres Primary schools have been working hard. They will perform at the School Battle Championships on Saturday 15 February.

This is the launch event for a week-long celebration of Hip Hop.

Saturday 15 February, 11am to 3:30pm

The launch of United by Breaks Hip Hop Week:

  • Art Exhibitions
  • Live DJs
  • Dance performances
  • United by Breaks Battle School Champions

There will also be doodle and craft tables for the family, and more.

  • Sin Cru from Cambridge with their Valoris Hip Hop pop-up van (outside)

  • Spaces to relax, explore, and celebrate Hip Hop culture!
