Energy Savers Scheme secures additional funding to provide more support

Thursday, June 26, 2025

Wakefield Council’s Energy Savers scheme aims to help people save energy and enjoy a warmer home.

Thanks to a £100,000 investment, free cavity wall and loft insulation is available for homeowners and private rented tenants that qualify. Free gas central heating upgrades are also available for private rented tenants that qualify.

“We encourage anyone who is eligible to apply for this free support before the winter hits. Insulation and heating upgrades can make a big difference to keeping homes warm. It also helps to save money from lower heating costs.”

Cllr Jack Hemingway

Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Growth,
