Welcome Spaces

Welcome Spaces are open to you as a free warm, safe place where you can enjoy a hot drink and friendly company. Everyone has a right to be warm, so expect a warm welcome when you visit.

You can find information on what your local welcome spaces has to offer, as well as a link to find your nearest space.

Welcome spaces in libraries

We have twelve libraries across our district that are warm welcoming spaces. Everyone is welcome to read, relax, connect and learn.

Other warm welcome spaces

As well as our libraries, family and youth hubs we are working with community organisations to offer warm welcoming spaces across the Wakefield district during the colder months. They include the Help at the Hub venues amongst others.

At these warm welcome spaces you can speak to friendly staff and volunteers, get support and advice with the cost of living crisis and take part in activities.
