How to be a Teaching Assistant
This is an entry level course where you will learn about the role of a teaching assistant. You’ll explore different types of schools and classroom settings. You will also learn how to manage behaviour positively, communicate well, and promote equality and respect.

Level 2 Certificate - Teaching Assistant
If you want to become a teaching assistant or volunteer in schools, this is the course for you. You will gain a recognised qualification to become a Teaching Assistant. You’ll learn how to support learning in the classroom. And build an awareness of safeguarding children and child development.
If you are not already employed in a place of learning, you will need to find a voluntary work placement. You will need to complete 5 hours of placement per week to complete this course.

Level 3 Diploma - Teaching Assistant
This course will teach you how to support with effective teaching and learning. Help to plan lessons and review pupil’s progress, develop your skills in safeguarding children. And learn the professional skills you need to thrive in a place of learning.
If you are not already employed in a place of learning, you will need to find a voluntary work placement. You will need to complete 10 hours of placement per week to complete this course.
