General Accessibility
- our facilities are wheelchair friendly
- staff trained to use hoists and assist with accessibility
- each site has accessible parking, toilets, and changing areas
- we offer discounted memberships and activities for people with disabilities
- those needing support can bring a carer for free

All our pools have special hoists to help people get in and out of the water. We also offer swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. For more details, email aquatics@wakefield.gov.uk.

Aspire @ The Park
- fully accessible for wheelchair users
- two DAP lifts and two Pool PODs (including an aqua tilt Pool-Pod) for safe pool entry
- a lift for moving between floors
- height-adjustable shower trolley and track hoist for extra support
- a moveable pool floor adjusts water depth
- an evacuation chair for emergencies
Featherstone Leisure Centre

- a disabled changing bed for comfort
- a pool hoist for safe water access
Minsthorpe Leisure Centre
- designed for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs
- a Pool Pod for safe entry and exit

Normanton Leisure Centre
