Online Courses
At Here for Business, we understand that not every employee can make time for an in-person course. That’s why we offer a wide range of online courses to suit all employment needs. The courses we offer include:
- Allergens
- Food Safety
- Health and Safety
- Personal Licensing
- Manual Handling
- Fire Safety
Making a group booking?
To make a group booking of more than 10 people, we recommend you contact us directly on business@wakefield.gov.uk to receive preferential rates. For the booking, we will need the date of birth and email address of each learner.
For businesses purchasing on behalf of employees, we can set up your own Online Learner Management Area. This will help you keep track and monitor the progress of your employees, at no extra charge.
What are the perks to online learning?
Online learning means you can:
- study at a time and location that is convenient for you
- control the pace of your learning
- bookmark your place to stop and start at any time
- print revision notes
- receive an instant digital certificate
- receive alternate options for those who have a visual impairment
Blended Learning
As well as online and in-person courses, we also offered blended learning. Blended courses are a combination of online and classroom learning. With blended learning, you still get to be flexible with your training but with that added in-person element on a set day.
Please note, you must complete the online element before your course and then bring your online pass certificate with you.
The blended learning courses we offer include:
- Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
- Level 3 Supervising Food Safety
- Level 3 First Aid at Work
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
What are the perks of blended learning?
Blended learning means that you can:
- reduce classroom time
- reduce the cost
- be more flexible with some of the training
- receive a full accredited qualification
Extra information
For our blended Food Safety courses, the in-person revision sessions feature bonus material not included in e-learning modules. This includes:
- allergen awareness
- what an EHO will look for during the inspection process
- how to achieve the best Food Hygiene Rating score
For online training, you will need a unique email address. There is a help guide and FAQs to explain what is needed.
To book on behalf of another person, contact us directly on business@wakefield.gov.uk.
All online training courses offer Awareness Certification only. To gain a full accredited qualification, you must undergo classroom examination. This needs to be either through an in-person or blended training course.
