Key details
Rushbond PLC is developing Wakefield's Civic Quarter into new housing and improved public spaces. This will create a new distinctive area within the city centre.
Plans
- to convert and renovate the Old Crown Court
- this will provide a community space for workshops and performances, as well as a café/restaurant
- to transform the former Wood Street Police Station buildings into apartments
- to build townhouses on the sites of Rishworth Street car park and Gills Yard car park
- this will deliver 63 new homes by 2024/25
- to convert Wood House, a historic building on Wood Street, into a single 4-story property
