  • transforming Wood Street into a new public space as part of a new food and drink hub
  • improved pedestrian links to the city centre for communities located to the east of the city
  • better enforcement of restrictions on key city centre roads
  • improvements to Ings Road through its own Highway Improvement Scheme

Benefits

  • improved connectivity
  • reduced congestion
  • improved air quality and access to the city centre
  • improved reliability for bus journeys within the city centre
