Safe Zones

Safe Zones are places you can go if you feel threatened, unsafe or scared when out and about in the district.

Anyone can go to a Safe Zone for support. They exist so that you can have confidence when going out. Trained staff can help you contact the person or emergency service you need.

Safe Zones for people with long-term conditions.

People with learning disabilities, autism and dementia can get support at Safe Zones.

If you’re lost, confused, feel unwell or you are being bullied, visit a Safe Zone for help.

Some vulnerable people carry a “Safe Places” card. If you take one to a Safe Zone, someone that works there will call someone that supports you. You can then wait at the Safe Zone until they arrive.
